As a Technical Application Manager (TAM), you will be a trusted advisor between technical and organisational teams, responsible for operational excellence and owning the Salesforce implementation roadmap in close alignment with architectural guidelines. 

This role requires a combination of strong technical and organisational experience, as well as the ability to build trust and mutual relationships across various teams. You will possess in-depth technical knowledge of the Salesforce platform capabilities (both functional and technical) and integration capabilities. You will drive standardization of processes to leverage as many out-of-the-box capabilities as possible, identify and plan for customization needs, and help key stakeholders to be more prepared for roadmap and schedule impacts. The ideal candidate will provide visible leadership, accountability and authority for high profile, enterprise-level implementation projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep technical understanding of the Salesforce implementation, share technical best practices, and act as a key point of contact for both technical and business stakeholders.

  • Actively manage stakeholder expectations, align resources and potential conflicting priorities.

  • Liaison with clients on an ongoing basis, to maintain and develop the business relationship, and keep projects to a set time frame.

  • Effectively manage demand intake of technical requirements or questions regarding the application.

  • Proactively collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to regularly review project status, risk management and escalation of issues.

  • Champion and ensure adherence to the delivery structure and project management methodology during implementation of the solution.

  • Evaluate technical designs and implementation concepts and provide relevant technical recommendations on solutions and enhancements specifics to customers’ business needs.

  • Coordinate project teams to ensure that client business requirements are effectively incorporated into design specifications, multi-platform integrations and data transfers.

  • Ensure robust business application availability and performance.

  • Manage and steer execution of technical improvement projects and initiatives.

  • Review and approve high level technical documentation ensuring compliance with development guidelines.

  • Define and monitor SLA performance for compliance with organizational needs and requirements.

Profile

  • Strong background in delivering implementations of Salesforce a must;

  • Experience defining and delivering custom enterprise applications in a technical and/or functional leadership role;

  • Ability to develop and nurture strong relationships at all levels;

  • Deep technical knowledge of Salesforce products and features, capabilities, best use and how to deploy, including knowledge of the Salesforce platform and ecosystem;

  • Knowledge of Salesforce multi-org implementation best practices and strategies;

  • Ability to see tasks through to the end and meet tight deadlines, taking responsibility for their completion and maintaining quality throughout;

  • Ability to exert appropriate influence in highly matrixed organizations;

  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills, verbal and written to both technical and non-technical audiences that are in geographically dispersed environments;

  • Ability to speak and write English fluently;

  • Excellent time management and personal organisational skills;

  • Ambitious and driven by success;
